The w2eg Wind to Energy Generator (WEG) is a
tethered, lighter-than-air aircraft (aerostat) that gains its
lift using a buoyant gas. The WEG generates electrical
power by floating two counter rotating vertical wind
turbines driving four exclusive integrated high efficiency
generators. WEG system is a completely self-contained
electrical power plant. The WEG aerostat is inflated with
helium or hydrogen (outside of the US and Canada).
Due to its unique proprietary design, the WEG can
generate power in very low speed wind speeds.
WEG systems range in size for 100 kWh to 1 Megawatt.

Unlike traditional wind turbines, the WEG can reach stronger winds at higher altitudes. This eliminates most placement limitations of traditional wind turbines. Coastlines, high ridges, and offshore locations are not necessary to capture higher wind speeds. The WEG can be place directly where the power is needed. WEG gimballed turbine design keeps the WEG stabilized and positions it within a very controlled and restricted location to adhere with government aviation guidelines. WEG is bird and bat friendly, low noise emissions and capable of operating at a wide range of wind speeds – from 1.5 to 30 or more meters per second.

 

Only 13% of the world’s land mass—typically coastlines, high ridges, and flat plains—have adequate wind for traditional wind turbines. The WEG solution removes most wind turbine height and placement limitations. Tapping into winds at up to 300 meters above ground allows WEG to address the other 87% of the world’s land mass, where traditional turbines are not economical or practical. Such areas are inaccessible to conventional wind turbines, but not to WEG’s proprietary technology.

WAll other Hydrogen production processes are extremely energy intensive. With w2e, once the chemical reaction is started, little additional energy is required.


w2e is scalable to process from 3 tons of feedstock per day to a multi-reactor system that can process 100 tons of feedstock per day.

 

A single multi-reactor system can create up to 2 million kg/yr of pure Hydrogen and 31 million kg/yr of food grade CO2 that can be sold for food, commercial and industrial applications.

WThe w2e technology can be replicated to achieve any desired volume that is suited for factories, villages, hospitals, large hotels, office buildings, landfills, food processors, paper mills and agricultural operations and is applicable to many waste disposal problems including but not limited to:
